The Lorenz Corporation
Lorenz has an excellent selection of piano and organ music for the church musician. Church musicians will enjoy the arrangements of Mark Hayes, Gilbert Martin, Mary McDonald, Lloyd Larson and Larry Shackley. Lorenz distributes Latham Music which is a fine source of arrangements for strings. Our teachers like their arrangements of string quartets for students and mixed string duets. Lorenz also distributes Heritage Music which we love for their fine selection of classroom resources - "Stomp, Boom, Blast" and the "Body Electric" are perennial favorites in our store.
Mayfair Music
Mayfair Music supplies us with the graded Conservatory Canada materials for piano and voice as well the Leila Fletcher piano series. Other favorites from Mayfair that we stock include the new pedagogy text "Making Music Come Alive" by Nancy Telfer and the "Introduction to Keyboard Harmony and Transposition" by Stephen Fielder. Mayfair is a major source of Canadian compositions, publishing the "Making Tracks" and "Northern Lights" series.
Mel Bay Publications
Mel Bay is a leader in guitar instructional material. Choose from jazz and blues, rock, classical, latin and flamenco styles in books or DVD format. If you require music for fiddle, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, tin whistle or accordion this is the catalogue for you. We especially like the series "You Can Teach Yourself" .
Neil A Kjos Music Company
The Bastien Basic Piano teaching series and the new "Piano Town" series are top sellers in our store. We are also excited about a new series of games that teach notes, rhythms and other music concepts. "Tapping Telephones", Wacky Wanda" and "Note Nabber" are a few of our favorites suggestions for both the classroom music teacher and the private music studio.
Oxford University Press
Oxford is one of the largest and most respected music publishers in the world with an impressive catalogue of 2,500 items. Browse their catalogue for choral music, anthems, hymnbooks and educational music for all instruments.
Stainer & Bell
The catalogue of this distinguished British company includes the works of Thomas Dunhill, Ralph Vaughn Williams, Frank Bridge, Herbert Howells and other British composers. Our most popular selling item from this publisher is the game "Musidoku" - if you are a musician who loves Sudoku, then Musidoku will definitely be your forte.
Themes and Variations
Customer feedback on the books we stock from Themes and Variations is all positive! We stock the Singing Games series, the Action Songs series and the MusicPlay Curriculum. Note Name Battleship is another product worth considering if your classroom or studio could use another game to keep the kids occupied.
